When I found myself planning this short five-day trip to Brittany, I felt overwhelmed by the vastness of the area and the fascinating places to explore. With so much to see and do, I decided to write this article to offer a brief summary of the absolutely unmissable stops during a trip to this fascinating region

But first of all..
How to get to Brittany? How to get around?
My trip started with a flight to Paris.
I chose Paris as my main destination because I found a cheap flight deal compared to flights to Brest. Upon arrival I immediately collected the rental car from Alamo, I recommend that you always opt for full insurance to travel with peace of mind and safety.
My trip to Brittany started from the city of Saint Malo, to which I recommend dedicating at least a full day and spending the night there if you don't have time.
Unfortunately, we dedicated a short visit of a couple of hours to this stage as there was a universal flood.
These are for me the unmissable stops for a one he road in this wonderful region:
SAINT QUAY PORTRIEUX
I added this stop to the trip for "its swimming pool by the sea", a magical place located on the beach of Saint-Quay-Portrieux.
This natural pool, created by the tides, offers spectacular views of the ocean and a unique setting to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Breton coast, in fact it has become one of the most iconic attractions of this town.
If you include it in your itinerary, please choose the sunset time, the light is crazy here.
PLOUMANAC'H
This for me was the most beautiful second stage.
Ploumanac'h is a charming Breton village known for its spectacular pink granite rocks rising from the sea, the ideal place to take a walk along the coast and admire the breathtaking views.
It is also a popular destination for photography enthusiasts, I didn't want to leave, I reached this place at dawn and the show was unique.
PHARE DE PONTUSVAL
I added this lighthouse to the itinerary thanks to the photos and videos I saw on various social networks, it is located in the municipality of Brignogan - Plages.
Once parked near the lighthouse, there are various activities to do in the area, you can enjoy a pleasant walk along the coast or visit the village of Meneham.
It is an old fishing village restored to show visitors what life was like in Brittany in the past.
You can consider visiting the lighthouse first and then following the path along the coast that leads to the village.
POINTE DE CORSEN
The Pointe de Corsen is the westernmost tip of the French mainland.
Here you can enjoy an incredible view of the ocean and feel like you are at the end of the world, with the sea disappearing into the horizon. There are several well-marked hiking trails that allow you to explore the area, passing by various viewpoints.
Parking here is also always free.
PHARE DU PETITE MINOU
This was absolutely my favorite place, one of the most beautiful lighthouses I have ever seen located in a wonderful area.
It is located precisely near the town of Plouzané, west of Brest. Once you arrive near the lighthouse, you will find signs for the nearest car park.
There are well-signposted car parks and if there is no space (especially in the high season), continue towards the lighthouse as there are other car parks along the edge of the road.
Head here at sunrise or sunset to get some truly stunning shots.
CROZON PENINSULA
The Crozon Peninsula is a peninsula famous for its spectacular cliffs, wild beaches and scenic trails ideal for hiking.
Since the weather was not on our side, we had to reduce the stages in this area, but nevertheless we went to the best panoramic points, namely Pointe de Pen-Hir, Plage de Pen-Hat and Cap de la Chèvre.
Also add the Kermorvan lighthouse to your itinerary, unfortunately we had to skip it.
CONCLUSIONS:
The driving hours are quite a few, with the departure and return point being Paris airport the best thing is to do a "ring" tour, the stages I have written are in order from the first day to the last.
With this few-day itinerary you will be able to get a taste of the beauty of this region, from the beaches to its wonderful lighthouses on the cliffs, also remember to taste the local delicacies, such as Breton crepes and fresh oysters considered the best in the world.
